![]() ![]() This is what propelled me to get my certification in Health and Wellness Coaching and Personal Training. It was who I followed on social media, the books I read and the people I hung out with. Nutrition, fitness, ane wellness became my passion. It was a “you don’t know until you know” epiphany. I could always see myself in it, but now it was shiny and clear. Don’t get me wrong, I was happy before, but this felt like I was cleaning off a dusty mirror. I created a whole new lifestyle, a new way of being. In just 3 months, I saw more changes than I had in the previous 10 months!įor me, this “best-version-of-myself” also allowed me get back into hobbies that I once enjoyed, rebuild withering relationships and build new relationships with the people who I wanted to surround myself with. The best part was that I also started thinking clearer, sleeping better, having more energy and becoming the BEST version of myself. It allowed me to be able to work out harder in the gym and finally achieve my fitness goals. FALSE!Īlong the way, I learned the purpose of every protein, carb or fat that I ate. I based my understanding of eating on, perhaps, the diet culture in America - low calories is weight loss. The thing I realized was that I had no clue how to eat. Understanding how and what to really eat was the game changer for me! Once I learned how to properly, “fill my tank,” I was able to put in the same work at the gym but finally see the results I wanted in the mirror. I did not know how to properly fuel my body. NUTRITION.Īs I look back, it is no wonder why I would crash at 3pm on the couch every day I went to the gym. I know it sounds obvious when I say it but, nutrition. ![]() I started seeing a health and nutrition coach. Something had to be missing and I needed answers. I kept thinking-What’s the point? I am working out at least 5 days a week, why don’t I look like the other women I see on social media? I started feeling burnt out, exhausted, and worst of all, I wasn’t seeing the results I expected. I was hyped, I was learning to love myself again.īy the next fall, 10 months later, my motivation and passion began fizzling out. It helped me lift my spirits through channeling all of my pain and frustrations into the gym. ![]() I’m talking like dead-lifts and bench press. A friend invited me to the gym on a whim, and, it was awesome! I started lifting weights. This all centers around being truly well. I strive to live my life with authenticity, passion, and purpose. Faith and family are the heartbeat of everything I do. I also love the beach, elephants, a crackling fire, flowers, a crisp New Zealand sauvignon blanc, travel, and good alt rock. Some of my favorites are The Book Thief, The Other Boleyn Girl, and The Count of Monte Cristo (fiction), and Atomic Habits, The Road Less Traveled, and The Four Agreements (non-fiction). I’m a lifelong lover of books – fiction and non-fiction. Women who use their voice, step into their purpose, and live vibrantly.
